Started cartooning at the age of eight  Taught myself to animate and built a "home studio"
in our basement in Plainfield, New Jersey.  By age 18 cranked out 43 amateur animated
short films––in 1964 won a Cannes Film Festival Silver Medal for one of them.

 

After a brief stint at Paramount Cartoon Studio in Manhattan, attended NYU School
of the Arts: studied film with Martin Scorsese, music with Mort Subotnik, and art with
H.W. Janson and Len Lye.

 

Worked at the the TV commercial studios that populated midtown Manhattan back then. 

Al Brodax, producer of the Beatles cartoon featureYellow Submarine gave me a boost. Produced and directed animation for Emmy-Award winning ABC-TV series "Animals,
Animals, Animals,
", HBO special "Sunshine Porcupine", Sea World "Shamu the Beginning" feature––and many others

 

Illustrated best-selling children's books, including "How to Father" by Dr. Fitzhugh
Dodson and "Boys and Girls Book About Divorce" by Dr. Richard Gardner.

Currently working on development of animated immersive projects.
